I took McGee off WW, and let the other guy take Farnsworthless.

Todd Zola had this to say, concerning one of his drafts:

24.09 Jake McGee, RP, TAM: If the chat room groans and cursing were any indication, some of my fellow drafters forgot about McGee and the likelihood he will close in Tampa. I didn’t.

Looks like it's closer-by-committee in Washington to start the year.

The youngster will have to be better down the home stretch of the Grapefruit League schedule in order to secure ninth inning duties for himself by Opening Day. Tyler Clippard, Sean Burnett and Todd Coffey are in line for chances if Storen continues to falter.

Bailey left today's game with an injury. Who would close in Oakland if he is out?

I figure Fuentes gets first shot.

Gregg got shelled for the O's again today. With Uehara's injury, and Gonzalez only having appeared in 3 ST games so far, I wouldn't be surprised to see this become a closer by committee, and include the left-hander Rapada.

If Washington goes to a committee, don't forget Stammen. He's supposedly looked very good in relief.

Axford did not look sharp. Oh sure it's just one outing, or the only one I've seen anyway.

How much are people paying for Storen in NL leagues?

After a shaky start to ST, Kimbrell has been pretty impressive. His last outing he pitching 1 inning and k'd 3.

Honestly the guy I'd be considering in WSH would be Coffey.

                            Why not Clippard?

78 games/91 innings last year. Sometimes the manager doesn't want to take the big-inning guy out of his role if he doesn't have to.

Clippard will make a great WW pickup if it becomes clear he wont close. He gives IP, Ks, ERA, WHIP. Get two more and they cover an ace SP.

BTW, has anyone done any MR analysis this year? I posted some threads from the old site, but that is all I have seen.
