Arizona loses with seemingly everything they do. Talk about revealing your hand in negotiations, lol. Why they even proceeded down the trade road with Seattle in the first place is a mystery, if the rumor that Upton told them in advance that he'd veto it is true.


And let's remember that it's Arizona who put themselves in this place to begin with by inexplicably signing a mediocre OF to a long term deal when they already had sufficient (and far superior) OF options to begin with. Kevin Towers is a moron.

How is he revealing his hand? He made it clear that he wants to deal Upton, and he got a great offer (according to most in here) for him. Now the bar has been established and teams know what they have to do if they really wish to get involved. Arizona has control of the player for another 3 years no matter how pissed he may be, and as I said before, it's in Upton's interest to play well if he wishes to move down the road.

And I really like Goldshmidt and Hill...Johnson and Pennington are meh, but certainly servicable.
