I guess it ain't done -- Dodgers pulled out of talks. It's dead, Jim.

Jim Bowden just tweeted that the Yanks have acquired Dempster. But this is Jim Bowden we're talking about here, so.....

Of course he's wrong -- the rangers end up surprise winners in the Dempster derby.

Let me guess, for Martin Perez? I say this cause I own Perez in my AL only league. My second guess is Leonys Martin.
I'm unconsoled I'm lonely, I am so much better than I used to be.

            I blame Mike Scioscia

When I first read that I thought it said Christina Hendricks. Nice return indeed!

Any reason to believe he'll fall flat on his face in the AL? I won the waiver claim on him since I'm starved for pitching, but I'd rather not have my ratios slip even further.

someone at Fangraphs thinks so, at least: http://www.fangraphs.com/fantasy/ind...-is-worthless/
In the best of times, our days are numbered, anyway. And it would be a crime against Nature for any generation to take the world crisis so solemnly that it put off enjoying those things for which we were presumably designed in the first place, and which the gravest statesmen and the hoarsest politicians hope to make available to all men in the end: I mean the opportunity to do good work, to fall in love, to enjoy friends, to sit under trees, to read, to hit a ball and bounce the baby.

Everybody except for a Cy Young candidate got lit up in Arlington this week. He's due for a dip, but he's not going to face plant.
