Yeah, I forgot Francisco never actually went on the DL.
Some people say winning isn't everything. I say those people never won anything.

Quitters never win, winners never quit, but those who never win AND never quit are idiots.

The last thing I want to do is hurt you...but it's still on the list.

Some people are like Slinkies, they are not really good for anything but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

Fat Frank's 'healthy enough' to pitch, it's him...today. Given history this won't last long. Seems it's Rauch or Parnell though given how Ramirez was used today.

Yeah, a little surprised to see Frankie actually pitching.

It's Rauch-Ramirez and then Parnell in terms of vulture saves. Mets already said they see Parnell as a multiple inning type guy this season. Stretched him out in ST.

            1-2-3 with a K, I'll take it.

2-2, 2 Hs today but 2 Ks as well.

This thread must be confusing people, so here goes.

Francisco is the closer, and is 2 for 2.
Rauch is the clear 8th inning guy.
Ramirez I guess would be 3rd in line.
Parnell has been warming up in the 5th and 6th innings, respectively, of the Mets' two games so far. He might have some longterm intrigue, but don't hold your breath.

                  or maybe this will help

Mets manager Terry Collins said Monday that Miguel Batista will get save chances on the days that Frank Francisco and Jon Rauch are unavailable.
One could argue that Ramon Ramirez, Bobby Parnell and Manny Acosta are all superior alternatives, but Collins apparently prefers Batista's experience. Since he only figures to get a chance here or there, this situation doesn't figure to be of much interest to anyone outside of NL-only leagues. Source: ESPNNewYork.com Apr. 9 - 5:31 pm et
