Joba Chamberlain will undergo Tommy John surgery next Thursday with Dr. James Andrews.
Chamberlain is officially out for the rest of the season and will likely miss the first half of the 2012 season, as well. It's a tough blow for a Yankees' bullpen which is already missing some key pieces. Now David Roberston will have to play a very important role as the main bridge to Mariano Rivera. They will almost certainly be looking to upgrade at the trade deadline.
