Another fantastic performance tonite by Hader. Got an 8-out save and all outs were Ks. He did walk 1 but no hits. Amazing!

the Knebel-Hader combo that looms is absurd
and Albers-Barnes-Jeffress-Jennings also have ERA+s over 295 (that is not a misprint)
poor Taylor Williams - 1.93 ERA in 9.3 IP - feels like a chump with his puny 216 ERA+
that's a 1.29 ERA in 83.6 IP while Knebel - 1.78 ERA last year with 126 K in 76 IP - nears his returnfinished 10th in this 37th yr in 11-team-only NL 5x5

Next one to keep an eye on, and maybe Gwynn or Friar can confirm, but Hand has reportedly velocity drop in his blown save last night. Is Yates a good stash for desperate saves, or is it Stammen?12-team mixed keeper. 6x6 (OBP, QS the extra categories).

05.01: Cardinals manager John Mozeliak said Tuesday that Greg Holland will likely not be "used in the ninth inning at this time." (Holland blew a save in ugly fashion Friday against the Pirates and then yielded a run on three hits in a low-leverage appearance on Sunday. The 31-year-old right-hander, who signed a one-year, $14 million contract with St. Louis on Opening Day, now holds a 7.36 ERA and 2.32 WHIP in 10 appearances this season. Bud Norris will operate as the Cardinals' primary closer for the foreseeable future.)finished 10th in this 37th yr in 11-team-only NL 5x5
