For the price, I think that he'd be fine...but he walks way too many. I was also wondering if you wanted to keep 5 pitchers.

Not ideal, but I'd be willing to do it with 3 SP and 2 RP and go after hitting in the auction. Value is value.

I offered Greene or Treinen. He asked about Machado 41 and Kluber 37 as well. I'd like to hand onto Treinen. Is sending the other 3 too much? I'm actually glad to get rid of Manny because I think he's overpriced.

No, but I assume he will keep Machado since he asked for him. My keepers post-trade would be:

Didi, K Davis, Clevenger, Giolito, Greene, Treinen, EE, and probably Kluber. If he looks like he'll make the big club, Hernandez.

LABR agrees with you in terms of value. EE went for $26 which is a discount. Carrasco and Kluber went for the prices I paid last year. I like 'em both, and inflation is around 10%. Is the consensus to keep Kluber because he's the elite, and buy Carrasco if I really want him?

Thanks for your thoughts. He asked for Carrasco and Greene. Though I'm not planning on keeping Carrasco, so if I got a keeper for him, his value doesn't really matter.

Gardner 13 for Carrasco 25 is on the table as well. Thoughts?

There is some profit in Gardner hitting leadoff for that lineup. I would keep Gardner over Kluber who I could rebuy.

Again, I would not mess with that pitching at this point. Gardner is no lock to bat leadoff for the Yankees, in fact , he's no lock to play every day. I can see a point where Hicks and the 2 sluggers are playing the outfield, and Sanchez is DH'ing 40+ times a season. Too much uncertainty for my tastes.

Fair enough. This is a savvy owner so I'm always suspicious of the guys he is offering, especially preseason, and protective of the guys he wants from me.
