    Early look at AL Keepers

    AL 12 team 5x5. Keep 8 for 2018 only.

    Martin Maldonado 1
    Edwin Encarnacion 31

    I've included all cheap and at-value guys. Inflation around 10%. Who are the top 8? Who are the next few guys? I think I probably have a few extras I could trade.

    Your hitting does nothing for me...either at price or overpriced, IMO. Very nice starters though...you should be able to spin Kluber off for a good hitter. Andrus is great this year, but do you want to count on him doing it again?

      unless you have some reason to think Shane Greene is going to be the closer, I'd swap him out for Andrus. Otherwise I agree with Horns. Though Clevinger is pitching way above his head, or at least his walk rate.
      In the best of times, our days are numbered, anyway. And it would be a crime against Nature for any generation to take the world crisis so solemnly that it put off enjoying those things for which we were presumably designed in the first place, and which the gravest statesmen and the hoarsest politicians hope to make available to all men in the end: I mean the opportunity to do good work, to fall in love, to enjoy friends, to sit under trees, to read, to hit a ball and bounce the baby.

        Updated. Which ones weren't clear? I tried to add first initials to avoid any ambiguity.

        Yeah, I'm definitely pitching-heavy. I will advertise my pitchers and see what kind of offers I get. The values of Greene and Treinen will be dependent on the offseason/spring training.

          You should keep Andrus and you have to seriously consider Cashner at $1. He's been superb since the break (2.76 era, 1.05 whip, partially fueled by luck, but still) and even with his ridiculously low strikeout rate, he's still a bargain.

              Those are good stats to include when trying to move some of these guys for hitters. I was surprised no dumpers asked about Cashner, Clevinger and Giolito (though he wasn't up yet). One owner traded for Smoak $1 instead of Merrifield $3 (who I flipped with Correa for Didi/Machado).

                All prices for 2018 only.

                Another owner is willing to give up Moustakis $20.

                He's interested in Kluber 37, Carrasco 25, Clevinger 5, Treinen 6 and Greene 3.

                Who should I offer/be willing to give up for Moose? I've heard rumblings about the Yankees. Any chance he gets traded to the NL before opening day? Otherwise I would get his stats for the year regardless.

                  Moustakas is a free agent. Do you get his stats even if he signs with an NL team?

                        Not exactly. I asked about Buxton and Moose who are both in the $20 range. He told me Moose was up for grabs. I'd like to think I would have done my due diligence in addition to consulting the 'Pen.

                        I updated my original list to exclude ineligible guys. Any updated thoughts on which 8 to keep?

                              For the price, I think that he'd be fine...but he walks way too many. I was also wondering if you wanted to keep 5 pitchers.
