What contender in the NL needs a 3rd baseman? LA is set, the Cubs are set, Washington is set, Milwaukee is set, Colorado is set, Arizona is set, Pittsburgh and St.Louis could use him, but realistically, they're almost out of it now. I just don't see a lot of need over in the NL. Now the Yanks could use him, the Red Sox could as well...

The Cubs might, depending on how Schwarber performs. If he doesn't hit (again), I could see the Cubs getting Moose and moving Bryant to LF. If the Pirates sweep the Brewers, they might be buying, too.

But I think you're right about the Red Sox being the first potential buyer.

I dunno, KC is 2 GB the Twins for first place, I don't think that they will be sellers unless they go 0-10 over the next 10 days

Is Tomas expected back anytime soon? One thing I was looking at in this trade is if the D'backs can somehow get to the WS they could have both Tomas and JD in the line-up at the same time. I fully expect Peralta, Pollock and JD to be the full time OF from this point on.
