What if you could win a league without any drafted players? The goal of this challenge is to give it a try. Join a public Yahoo league. Draft a bunch of schlubs (no one to keep). Cut them. Pick up free agents. Make trades if you can. Build a team that can win it all.

If the league is active and people make trades it can be done

I did H2H by accident a couple years ago. It sucked. By the end I was winning my weeks, but I was in such a big hole from my terrible start that I couldn't make the playoffs.

Free agents: Jorge Soler, Josh Bell, Corey Dickerson, Domingo Santana, Shin-Soo Choo, Brandon Moss, Manny Margot, Josh Reddick, Heyward

Anyone really stand out one way or the other? I also have Rajai Davis so I was thinking I could drop Ellsbury for someone more interesting. Maybe Heyward because he'd have a lot of trade value if he started off hot?

I agree, pickings seem slim. I agree with your approach tho, look for the guys that will have trade value if they start off hot. I'd think Soler & Santana might fit as well - they both are young & have had some profile/hype.

I built my teams this morning - doing one roto, one H2H. Ticked me off that a couple of teams made updates in the middle of the night, taking a few more guys off the board. Not surprisingly most of the names are on the teams posted above. At SP I'm gambling with several high risk high reward types & hoping they get off to a good start as well - Snell, Bundy, Wacha, Norris, Weaver. But it could get ugly real fast.
