I like this move for the Giants. That whole pen was taxed and it seemed every guy was going an inning later than he should and Bochy couldn't fiddle around with it, as is his wont. They really needed a guy to ink in for the 9th so that the rest of the guys can flourish. Plus, it can only help Melancon, good team, great park. They needed to make this move.
