The Twins are promoting RHP Jose Berrios to the major leagues.
It's unclear who the Twins are sending down. It was only a matter of time for Berrios, who has dominated in his three starts for Triple-A Rochester this year (2-0, 1.06 ERA). With the Twins seemingly headed nowhere this season, now is as good a time as any for Berrios to finally get his feet wet in the major leagues. The 21-year-old is No. 16 in MLB.com's Top 100 prospects. With Ervin Santana still battling a back injury, Berrios could be asked to start in his place Saturday against the Tigers.
