Even factoring in the saves+holds issue? Here's an example of what I'm getting at: Allen is worth $9.52, Wade Davis is projected at $10 for my league, Romo $11, Miller $10, Joe Smith $12, and there's plenty in the $3-8 range. Many of the setup guys wont sell for their value. That might be because not all owners understand how to properly value holds, could also be because very good setup guys emerge every season and can be had for $1-2 FAAB.
crap, I'm so indecisive! Luckily I don't think this decision will make or break my season.

Yeah, but if memory serves the elite saves numbers outpace the elite holds numbers by a decent margin. And if you're right, and folks don't value holds correctly, does that mean they value saves too highly? Because, again, trade chip....
I'd still keep Allen. Tying up a roster spot for half the year sucks, even for a stud. For a stud coming off of TJ.....I'd rather take the "sure" thing.
Only at the auction did I notice owners going for saves more than holds. In season, closers and setup guys dont have much trade value at all.
I just checked my $ values from last year. Allen was supposed to be worth $6, went for $1. Of course, weird things happen in auctions/dollar days... Hmm, I got Doolittle for $1 last year, valued at $8. McGee went for 3, Gregerson wasnt even nominated. Cecil $1, Strop $1, Joe Smith $1, Casilla $4...
