I assume Jankowski goes back down or stays just as the 5th OF, Renfore stays down, and that Pirela starts at 2B with Myers, Margot, Cordero and Reyes sharing the OF. Cordero and Reyes could presumably platoon.

Sadly had to cut Villanueva yesterday (added the multi-position versatility, if sporadic, of Descalso...but hated losing Villanueva). He had just become a black hole, even on my bench. Seems like a good kid, though, so hope he turns it around. And he told me no hard feelings, so we're good, in case you guys were worried.

Yikes. Not sure what to think at this point. I di think, though, that Myers is out for a while longer and Renfroe has been on the outs in this organization for some reason (since his demotion mid year last year). Jankowski has been productive since being called back up but he's proven to be nothing more than a filler. Leaving Franchy as the absolute guarantee to get ABs with Pirela playing 2b (and rumors of them dealing him to Seattle to fill in for Cano) and I'm sure they'll be playing Reyes every day for the first few weeks he's up. They've also been squeezing Scuzur in a few times a week as well.

Hard to say. He's been a little better of late, but Green and Preller seem to be a fickle bunch, so it's a distinct possibility.

BTW, this Reyes kid is a hulk! 6'6" of solid muscle. Hoping he's not another Jabari Blash/Kyle Blanks... Decent defender from what I hear with a rocket arm.

BTW, he is a horrible defensive third baseman, so don't invest too heavily in him for the long-term.

Is he here to stay? The dude hits absolute bombs and has speed to burn. So what's his upside this year and next? 25 /15? with an average in the 240-250 range?

For $1 in 2019, $6 in 2020 and $11 in 2021 how "good" of a keeper is he?

He's a fine keeper, but I think he may get exposed as the ABs pile up. He's due for some regression, but he does have a high upside. Trouble with anyone playing for SD is that the park suppressed power numbers and they are absolutely loaded in the system, so any major leaguer having a poor season is in immediate hazard of being replaced. The better the minor league system, the shorter the leash.

So, if I could have Franchy dirt cheap, I'd be ecstatic to take a chance on him, but I wouldn't be too surprised if he isn't worth much by the end of next year.

In my deep NL only 5x5 12 teamer I have him for a buck this year and two more years (unless I give him a $5 raise after next year).

I am ecstatic to have him. He is almost too valuable to trade, but cheap enough to enjoy the ride.
