Twin Peaks on Facebook Twin Peaks markets itself as a racier version of Hooters.

Twin Peaks is the fastest-growing restaurant chain in America.

The chain, which prides itself on being a racier version of Hooters, has 57 locations, writes Devin Leonard at Bloomberg Businessweek.

With $165 million in sales last year, it's the fastest-growing chain in the U.S., according to Leonard.

CEO Randy DeWitt credits his attractive, young waitresses with the chain's epic success.

Staff are vigorously judged on appearance.

"The women get points for hair, makeup, slenderness, and the cleanliness of their uniforms: fur-lined boots, khaki hot pants, and skimpy plaid tops that accentuate their cleavage," Leonard writes.

I have been to Twin Peaks a few times for lunch with co-workers. There are several locations in the Dallas area. The food is decent and they have plenty of TVs. I am not a big fan of these types of restaurants in general. I will go if others really want to, but I prefer to go somewhere the food would be better.

Yeah, I think I went to one in the Dallas area a while back. My take on these types of places is that going there once for the experience is fine, but if you really want to see skin, go to a strip club and if you really want good food, go to a restaurant w good food.

exactly. I went to Hooters once, and the food was nasty... and the girls were snobby and rude.

Looks and sounds a lot like the Tilted Kilt. Been to one of those twice. Since I'm too ugly to flirt with, I don't like it.
Considering his only baseball post in the past year was bringing up a 3 year old thread to taunt Hornsby and he's never contributed a dime to our hatpass, perhaps?

We have one of these in Canton.

Actually their food is pretty good. No, seriously....

But, the aura has worn off and I'm not sure it's as popular anymore.

One opened near me not too far back. I have never been there.

To tell you the truth, I hate when women get all touch-feely with me in restaurants for extra tips. They have even done it with my wife around. I give them 15% = 20%, and never more than that.

I agree the food is pretty good. My wife and I usually go after the PONY draft is finished.

Titled Kilt's food is far better than Hooters, I do agree.

                          even the peanuts weren't complimentary.

Yeah, the food I think was OK, nothing special. My point was that the attraction was something other than food, so the food really doesnt have to be special to bring in business. And because the girls are the attraction, it's like you're serving them instead of them serving you. So neither the service nor the food have to be that great. And you feel sort of guilty if you leave a good tip even tho the service wasnt great, on top of maybe feeling a little guilty that you went there in the first place. When I went, I actually didnt realize what the theme was until I got inside, when it became rather obvious. Similar experience when I went to Hooters. Of course, I guess you could just bring a paper or a book to read and ignore the girls. But for me it's better just to go someplace else where the main attraction is the food.

First time I went to the Tilted Kilt was with my wife. We were just in the area and we decided to try it.

                              That was a surprise.

Second time was work's Christmas party. It was amusing watching the young, single guys hitting on the waitresses. So that made it worth it.
