Interesting house guest for dinner in a few weeks.

So my cleaning lady has a daughter who is pregnant. The cleaning lady is a friend of my wife. And she is coming to dinner with her daughter and her baby daddy.... and I had no idea who this was until about 10 minutes ago..... Christian Walker from the Orioles? ( I don't follow the American league )

Anyway, it will be after the season is over, but the reason he is coming is that they live 2 miles from me, and we gave them - well really, we gave it all to the daughter - tons of furniture for her apartment. Apparently he wanted to drop by and say thank you, so he's coming for dinner.

I guess I should go read up a little on who he is. I gather from talking to our cleaning lady that he might be taking over for Chris Davis next season.

Nah, supposedly he is buying pizza and such.....

Actually, I haven't roasted a pig in a few years. When I moved the buyer of my last house wanted my pig roasting setup, and I let hm keep it because it was a PITA to move.

Walker did really well in AA this year at age 23 (not too old) - top 10 slug % and ops in the AA Eastern League. Chris Davis is suspended so he should be on the playoff roster.
