Just read a story in the local paper about how the once famous French beaches, filled with topless women, are a thing of the past. They cited 2 sources.
1. A study that says that France is a much more conservative and prudish country than when topless women roamed the beaches.
2. A thought that women are concerned with people taking pictures of them with smartphones, and posting them online.
I found this interesting because when I was in Mexico many years ago, I saw many women going not only topless at the beach, but right at the resort pool. Best as I could tell, none of the women seemed to be American, but all European. I even had a short conversation with a topless woman who sat next to my wife and I, and she was definitely European.
The story also said that statistics were not kept, but at one point the number of topless women was probably 30%. One thing I never knew: The whole topless thing was started in support of feminism, according to the article. I would have just guessed it was sun worship, LOL.
