I just thought your favorite song no one knows about (anymore) is the yahoo yodel, on account of yahoo being frequented by an ever dwindling supply of older folks like us (it is still my wife's portal page, but none of my students use it).

If I told you my three favorite songs that nobody knows about, then you would know about them and they would no longer be eligible for this thread. You, sir, will not encourage me to endorse such anarchy.

If nobody knows about them, how would I even know I like them?

Clearly that is why no one has posted any songs. I should have thought about that

If you thought before you posted, you wouldn't be you. Stay true to yourself. Don't think, just post.

I too struggled with the premise here, but I'll just go with some songs I figure most of you know about. Not necessarily my favs, but ones I think you all might find interesting.

First, I'll highlight a channel called "There I ruined It" that uses AI to create parodies and homages that are sometimes really good. This one is Boomhauer from the soon to be rebooted King of the Hill performing a rap in the style of Rap God by Eminem. I wish he would make a whole song of it:

And I'm thinking most of you haven't seen the Kiffness, who finds music online and remixes it to good effect. He has some good ones, but this remix of a guy drumming out some levan Polkka is my fav. It does throw in some viral tiktok characters that jumped on the popularity of the drummer, but it is still a good tune:

Flight Facilities is pretty well known, so you may have heard this one, but I like this one when I'm winding down. I found it when looking for the original Clair de Lune:

I love some really obscure stuff.

The last week, I've fallen in love with the Tiny Tim album "rock". It's from the late 80s, and is master class in excess. Only 100 physical copies printed, critically panned, and long out of print. I've been listening to his cover of Billy Idol's "rebel yell" daily for the last week. 23+ minutes of insanity.

Larry David was once being heckled, long before any success. Heckler says "I'm taking my dog over to fuck your mother, weekly." Larry responds "I hate to tell you this, but your dog isn't liking it."
