Went to see Seinfeld do standup this past Friday. He was great. Some of the material was a bit dated. I'm pretty sure I've heard the "respect the Chinese for sticking with the chopsticks" bit from the TV show! and there was a decent bit of "marriage, am I right guys?!?" humor that millennials and zoomers are fortunately killing off. Regardless it was a great time. Weird though... I've seen a lot of shows this year, seen Kevin Hart, Bill Burr, good bit of concerts too including Sting... but nothing hit me the same as seeing Seinfeld come out on stage. I mean, I should have been expecting to see him, I bought tickets to the show, but still when he came out I was like, "holy fuck, that's Jerry Seinfeld!" it was sort of surreal. Not sure if it's just that I grew up with the guy in my house every Thursday night for over a decade, or that I pop off lines to this day on the regular, but it was still so oddly thrilling to see him in real life.

    Glad you enjoyed him.

I love his stand up and tv show. Somewhere a few years ago for no reason I just stopped holding on it when surfing.

Glad you had a good time! Seinfeld definitely qualifies as a bucket list event!

I saw Seinfeld live on his tour that he turned into Comedian, in the early 00's. It was great, of course.

Interestingly, one of my current favorite comics, Anthony Jeselnik, was inspired to get into stand-up after watching Comedian. I'll finally be seeing Jeselnik (who recently co-headlined Halifax with Bill Burr and Seinfeld) this December. Super excited for his new material!

Larry David was once being heckled, long before any success. Heckler says "I'm taking my dog over to fuck your mother, weekly." Larry responds "I hate to tell you this, but your dog isn't liking it."

I listen to a few of the comic stations on Sirius radio. Jeselnik is good stuff.

Seinfeld was indeed a good time, I saw him about 12 years ago. Saw Bill Burr about 5 years ago, he was great. I'm very stoked to see Nate Bargatze next week, even scored a 2nd row ticket! (Which inexplicably was only $20 more than the upper balcony).

I am jealous. Nate is hilarious!

I wish I could turn on the voice and delivery in some of the business meetings I am in.
