  • Corn Crème Brûlée- who new!

My wife and I went to one of our favorite Italian American restaurants yesterday. They had Corn Creme Brulee on the menu. I am a corn lover as well as Creme Brulee. I have never heard of these two together. It was fantastic!

Mrs Gregg and I split one as a side to our Pork Shank and Wedge Salad.

There were two kinds of cheese in it and the crunch was made from brown sugar. So good.

I did a quick google when we got home. Only 146k results so not popular but not unknown either. Some interesting recipes but so far none with the two kinds of cheese or the brown sugar. Will do a deeper dive as I want to try making it at home.

Any of you ever hear of it or tried it?

I'm catching up here but I've never heard of it. And it's a side, not a dessert?

Yes. The sugar adds a crunch but not too much more sweetness over the corn. The cheese combo is fairly chewy.
