It looks like a 2012 Charger R/T for me. I need the size to take out clients comfortably. I like the combination performance/gas mileage. I took one out for a test drive and was really impressed. On top of that Mrs. Gregg took a spin behind the wheel. It took about 5 seconds until she was full of adrenaline. I think she scared the salesman. She said it was the first time that she understood why guys like cars. We ate red meat that night.
I have a car I need to sell before I can cut a deal. I think I lose too much in trading them in. I have been checking Auto Trader, and local dealerships to see what is out there. Of course the danger of doing that is if I find the right car and I am not ready to buy it, it could be gone by the time I am ready. I think I found the car, but can't negotiate quite yet. Right color, options, price.
I got a new Charger this year, but it's not one of the fancy R/T's or anything. Before this I had a 2008 Charger (both company cars) and the upgrades are pretty awesome. I love how much sleeker the exterior is and you never have to take your keys out of your pocket (pushbutton start, RF sensors for opening doors). The interior is the big upgrade though - touch-screen radio control and climate control, bluetooth, separate temp controls for driver and passenger, extra cupholders, radio controls on the steering wheel. As for gas mileage, I get up to 30 MPG highway and my lowest has probably been 25 or so.
I've been driving it for about 6 months now and I just love it. The 2008 was a great car as well, but this one blows it away.

Like I said I've had my charger over 6 1/2 years. By far the most fun car i've ever had and the most reliable. Never had any major issues other than general wear and tear stuff from the crappy NYC roads. If you're a car guy and care about what you drive every day this is a great car. It's even better now with the technology upgrades and body changes. A car you can take to the track for a fun day or drag around the whole family for a shopping trip.
If you live in a cold/snow weather area i'd recommend a set of snow tires. I change my tires out every November since it's a rear wheel drive. It's a moot issue if you get AWD.

I can hardly wait.
Well the wait is over. My wife and I made the deal last night. A Red 2012 Charger R/T. Woo Hoo. This is the first car I have owned since 1999 (3 vans in that time). It will get better gas mileage than my 2007 Caravan.
I haven't kept up with cars as I wasn't in the market. It is going to take me a long time to get good with the technology that this offers. The salesman went through it, but man is there a lot to learn. When I am on the highway it drops from 8 cylinders to 4. I am told that 30-31 mpg is not uncommon. When you mash it, all come to life instantly, no bog. It goes very fast without being insane. Way more than I need and just about right for my wants.
It is a much different kind of excitement than getting a new van.
