Starts this Friday in Chicago. This should be the best contest in 10 years. The US have a pretty decent team this time ... Woods is back in form and they have some good young players now ... and with a rowdy home-field advantage, 6/4 seems pretty generous odds in a 2 horse race. I think this will be close ... and have lots of swings along the way.

Great 2 days ... the USA have been putting amazing. Holing everything ... Europe have holed nothing in comparison. Europe would be totally out of this if it wasn't for 2 rallies in the last 2 games.
Europe will surely load all their big guns up front tomorrow ... they have no choice with a 4 point deficit. They need to win the singles 8-4, and that has only been done once before (USA at Brookline, 1999). Will be interesting to see how the USA counter-act that. Almost all the US player are playing well, so they should be able to make a match out of all the games ... but I'd expect them to load the early and late positions with their best players. Early to stop Europe getting back in, and late aces for some security ... most of Europe's weaker players will be out late. If Europe get some momentum, anything can happen.
... but the odds say it all ... USA 1/9 on favorites.
If I could, I'd bet Poulter versus Snedeker in the first match up ... Poulter will want to be first out, and Snedeker has gone on the record as saying he wants to beat Poulter and his buggy eyed war face.Last edited by johnnya24; 09-29-2012, 07:45 PM.Comment
