Smart money seems to be GOP, but I am going with the tie.

E-vote calls it 46 safe or likely Democrat, 45 safe or likely Republican, but the GOP leads in 4 of the 9 remaining states, with 4 too close to give a lean. Given the foot in mouth problem the RNC has in Missouri, I am pulling back from anoutright win for the Republicans.

Seems like this election is going to be the least 'wave-like' of the last 5. In 2004 we had the 'permanent GOP majority' (lol), followed by a resounding Dems win in 2006, followed by the Dems sending the Reps into the 'wilderness' (lol) in 2008, followed by the historic midterm wins by the GOP in 2010. I see a a pickup or two for the GOP in the Senate, a few pickups by the Dems in the house, and President Obama winning reelection by a smaller-but-still-comfortable margin. Governor's mansions should still be about 2-1 for the GOP. A mostly mixed election that will have the Dems braying about a mandate and the GOP threatening to block everything (especially if Johnson gets enough votes to keep the President under 50%).

I will take hat bets against Democrat control (up to 5).
