    1. He stepped over one body, then another, then another. I hope I can slip out before one of these young ladies wakes up, Bond smugly thought to himself ... Mr Gekko is quite the host.

    2. Gordon Gekko arrives home the in the small hours to find his wife and two sisters lying naked in pools of their own blood. All three had been slaughtered in a frenzy of stabbing and slashing. Traumatized Gordon Gekko vows vengeance on Bond.

    3. At the rear of the mansion, Max Cady silently slips away, and disappears into the darkness.

    4. A heavily pregnant Marge Gunderson arrives at the scene and muscles her way through the throng of police and press. It's not the first time she had been called to Gekko's house. She had a feeling things would turn out badly here, but couldn't have imagined this. Oh geez ... Bond did this? She didn't believe it, something didn't seem right.

    5. Meanwhile in another part of town, Max Cady enters a darkly lit room. Almost hidden from view at the far end, Daniel Plainview is sitting on the edge of a low-lying table chewing a piece of overcooked meat and staring at the floor. "Well?" demands Plainview. Cady slowly nods. Plainview glances at Cady before returning to tear another mouthful of meat ... "You know what to do". Cady stands unmoved for a moment causing Plainview to look back in his direction. For a brief tense moment both men's stares locked, before Cady turned and left the room.

    6.     The house was now empty and quiet. Gekko knelt in the doorway of his bed chamber staring at the still drying blood stains across the carpets. He could make out remnants of the chalk line that surrounded the body of his wife. All morning he knelt there ... numb ... the only thought going through his head - the enemy of my enemy is my friend ... the enemy of my enemy is my friend. After a while he took his iPhone from his pocket and held the activate button ... "call Vito Corleone" ... the phone beeped, then Siri replied "calling Fredo Corleone" ... "no" screamed Gekko, as the phone slipped from his grasp and shattered on the floor. It was all too much for Gekko, as the full gravity of the situation came crashing down upon him ... he curled himself up, crying, barely able to breathe ... "hey Gordon? Are you there? I thought your were never going to return my calls ... Gordon? It's Fredo ... hello? Gordon?"

    7. Gekko had been sitting blindfolded in the back seat of the Cadillac sedan for what seemed like hours. He never asked a question, he knew better. These were not people who "discussed", these were people who followed orders. Gekko had been Don Corleone's chief financial advisor before he became a recluse. No-one had seen Vito Corleone in 10 years, in fact no-one was really sure he was alive. The car eventually pulled to a halt after a bumpy final few hundred meters. Still blindfolded and now disoriented, Gekko was taken from the car and gingerly led through several doors and up a flight of stairs. He was sat down in a flimsy wooden chair, before having his blindfold forcibly removed. It took Gekko several moments to adjust to the light, before making out the form of Vincenzo Coccotti, Corleone's consilliatori, facing him.

    ... Max Cady brought his vintage Norton to a halt at an inlet along a coastal road. He lifted the brim off his Panama and looked up a large house in the distance. He could just make out the roof through the overgrown vegetation. He took out his phone, and sent a message before starting up the bike, and speeding off.
