Not sure what's going on, but Israel just called up six battalions to be posted to meet "growing threats on the Egyptian and Syrian borders) with a pre-authorization for 16 more battalions to be called up. That's a very significant surge in troop availability for the Israelis and is way out of the ordinary. Something is up.

It certainly feels that way. But I'm distrustful of that feeling and am curious about evidence.
