Yes, it is. This issue is one I really keep in my cross hairs because it such an impactful part of my family's finances. I read lots of stories about health insurance. My favorite comes from Texas. A woman works for a major corporation in Texas. Her job is the Benefits Administrator. She picks the health insurance options for her company. She shared that she was her son's baseball game. During an at bat he was beaned in the head. Concerned about a concussion, an ambulance was called. The driver asked which hospital to take her son as they were basically in between two hospitals. Knowing that one was in-network, she chose that one. A few weeks later she started getting bills. Her total cost for the emergency room visit was over $45,000, as the hospital contracted with an ER Doctor group that was out of network.Originally posted by DMT View Post

Free Market Health Care is simple, if you have the money, you get to live in good health, if not you either run up bills you can't pay (being charged more than the going rate because you have to use the Emergency Room for a visit) Or stay unhealthy and die.Originally posted by cardboardbox View Post

I'll add that I think it is unacceptable the way it is handled with the current laws. I don't expect it would have been better before Obamacare.
