What was the movie when he played the navy officer involved with a woman who was murdered, and the main suspect was in a picture that was slowly being revealed. I think Gene Hackman was in it also. That was a damn good movie I remember.
no way out.
I'm not expecting to grow flowers in the desert...
Field of Dreams, Tin Cup, Bull Durham, and The Untouchables are some great movies in my opinion. I haven't seen Dancing with Wolves, but I know some that have this in there top 10 of all time.
How could I have forgotten Field of Dreams and The Untouchables!? And also Silverado, which I thought was a great Western. He also did No Way Out, to which Johnnya24 refers.
X was one of my favorite punk bands - I dig In this House that I call Home and others with lots of energy
and John Doe is way cooler than that
Here is some legit emotion from his singing.
and yes Kevin Costner has been in a lot of great movies
My wife gives me sh!t constantly because I like so many Costner movies since, in her opinion, Costner is the worst actor of all time. But damn I really liked pretty much all those movies you guys have mentioned! I think it was Waterworld and Robin Hood that killed Costner for her.
For me, Costner is a less-odious version of Tom Cruise. I can't really stand Tom Cruise, but he has been in many movies I enjoy. In fact, with only a few exceptions (Vanilla Sky, Cocktail, Eyes Wide Shut) I can pretty much count on enjoying a Tom Cruise flick. So, even though I don't like him, I have Goldmember, Collateral, The Last Samurai, Minority Report, Rainman, Tropic Thunder and War of the Worlds in my DVD rack, which is a lot for one actor. Of Costner's films, I own A Perfect World, Dances with Wolves, The Postman, Waterworld, Fandango, Bull Durham, Robin Hood, Open Range, No Way Out, Wyatt Earp, Field of Dreams and The Untouchables, another big pile for one actor.
Let's not forget "For Love of the Game". If you filter out all the chick flick parts, it was a good baseball movie.
I give Costner a lot of credit for being in some of the best baseball films of all time..."Bull Durham", "Field of Dreams", and "For Love of the Game" is a pretty impressive trio.
I like some of the Tom Cruise films, but I don't see him on the level of Costner partly because Costner is more involved with all aspects of film-making. And I think he'd be more fun to have a beer with.
Just curious; is there anyone in here who has not seen The Body Guard?
While I wouldn't put it up there with the best movies of all time, I found it very enjoyable.
I have never seen The Body Guard

Goodfellas and Casino are two of the top 5 mob movies ever made (with Godfather I and II, and Scarface being the other 3)

You are wrong he did a great job on this song. Great contrast to Whitney. Made the movie.
