    ironfist meets his first RJer!

    Had a nice dinner last night with ironfist, the former 17-0 Survivor player who repeated his title this fall. He works in the same town where my twin brother lives (small world).

    He tells me this was his first face-to-face encounter with another RJ member after more than a decade on the site.

    Anyone else gone that long and never had a meetup?

    I'd guess that Jason/moonlightJ and fresnobob may lead the league in that category?

    I'm on Jason's list. My "first" was UMjewboy (he was gentle, lol), and later also B-Fly, Revo, Evil Empire, Grinch, Hoyos, and perhaps one more.

    Anyone else have a big "score" - or a 'perfect record of no meetups'?

      Sure--I've met several guys off the site including Byron, Daniel, Hoyos. Lucky, Jason, B Fly, Pjs and even Bhob. Never had to kick any of their asses either.

        During the AFL, I've met MJ, Fresno Bob, Bucky, PJS, and Dane. I also met up with Gris and Gregg at a Cubs game followed by libations at the Hofbrau Haus. My 1st encounter was Minor Threat at a Reverend Horton Heat show but not sure he made it to the new site.

          another one - RJer you'd most like to meet but haven't.

          Lucky would be on my short list, and Griswold and Hammer and OaklandA's and Chancellor and Bhob and the Otter guy and fresnobob and joncarlos and GITH and friarfan. Will think about more.

            I've been around here since 1999 and have never met a fellow RJ'er. Came close to meeting Jason, but his travel plans got changed.

                              Considering all the RJers in the area, it took me long enough. Might help if I posted more! I think I mentioned (or he did) to Long John a looong time ago about meeting up briefly when our two teams faced each other in a fantasy league, but nothing came of it. It was nice to finally put a face to one of the names in here.
