  • Stan Freaking Musial!!

In the early 1990's a friend of mine ran a pizza shop and one of the delivery drivers was a guy about 10 years younger than me. This guy became friends with me and my group of friends to the point where he hung around with us, played on the our softball and deck hockey teams and even participated in my fantasy baseball league for a few years.

I was reading the obituaries in my local paper today and noticed this guys father passed away yesterday. In the obit it mentioned that the deceased has one living sister and brother in law...the brother in law none other than Stan Musial!! This guy that hung around with me and my friends had Stan Musial for an uncle and never mentioned this fact!!

Probably because it would be all that anyone would want to talk about with him, and he might have to fend off requests to meet him. I can understand why he kept it quiet.

Nah, wasn't like that at all with us. My buddies wouldn't have been all crazy about meeting Musial.

I can understand your point and even thought about it, but come on. Stan the man is my uncle, i'm telling everybody!!
