Holy crap, I haven't been first in any of these drafts! Well, this one's easy...

1.01 - Omar Little - In the Game

Easily one of the most fascinating characters in TV history. Who would have thought that a homosexual loner (well, except for his various boy toys) would be the most fearless guy on the streets? He has to be the most "out there" version of Robin Hood ever thought up. Plus, he's funny as hell.

Although clips for characters have been shut down, a simple YouTube search will net you some classic scenes with the man himself.

thank god I've got the 2nd pick....

      1.02 - Clay Davis - The Man

Sheeeeee-it, he's the only politician to actually have an arc thru the entire series. In Baltimore politics, Clay is "The Man". There is no one who he won't take money from, and no one he won't screw. I was actually surprised that he survived the series.

        1.03 The Bunk - Cop

If DMT didn't exist we would have to invent it. There has to be a weirdest thing. Once we have the concept weird, there has to be a weirdest thing. And DMT is simply it.

            1.05 Jimmy McNulty - Cop

Really wanted Bunk first ... I might even have considered him ahead of Omar. McNulty and Bunk have to be the best cop partnership ever ... they even did some pooooleece work on occasions.

              1.06 - SHIIIIIIIIEEEEEEET - quote

If I can't get Clay Davis I'll take the next best thing.

I'm sorry, man, but I've got magic. I've got poetry in my fingertips. Most of the time--and this includes naps --I'm an F-18, bro. And I will destroy you in the air. I will deploy my ordinance to the ground.

1.08 Reginald “Bubbles” Cousins - Wild Card

Bubbles may be in the game, but not in the way I think of the others so I will put him here. Bubs was a great and one of the few characters on the show that you always rooted for. His story arch went throughout the show and was also one of the few to end in a positive way.

                    2.01 Lester Freamon - Cop

After losing McNutty last night I finally settled on putting Lester and Stringer together on the turn. I thought it would be a great pair to go up together. When I lost Stringer I wavered, but in the end Cool Lester gets the nod. It was impressive to watch Lester work the wire and follow the trail.
