I got another Christmas gift. I received an email from DraftKings to play Blackjack with a free $100 in credits, and you get to keep what you win. I don’t really have an interest in their table games, but what the heck, right?

I played five minutes, won $100 and took off!!

meanwhile I didn't hedge that Vikings bet and - I chose poorly.

so I signed up for $100, got a matching $100 plus two free $50 bets, a $10 bet, and a $5 bet. I have lost the last four, so far that just leaves me with a free $100 and now a $5 free in-play bet.

I'd be more bummed if there weren't literally at least 17 more legal online sports betting sites in NJ that I can snag sweet bonuses from for signing up.

as for taking any chance on ever coming out behind in real money terms from betting on games - fughettaboutit!

Using a free referral bet on Bucs, Cards, and Fins to each win straight up. That would be a nice payout.
Took the overs in Bucs-Lions, Liberty-Coastal Carolina, and Fins-Raiders.

took overs on two bowl games today

one was OVER 50.5 and it's 33-14 with almost 10 minutes left. but the air comes out of the ball - until the losers are stopped on downs and then with maybe 3-4 minutes left, the winners' backup QB hurls a glorious 25-yard TD into the corner of the end zone!

the other game was OVER 55.5, looked even better when it got to 31-24 early 4th quarter. but the losers wasted a timeout early, so with about 6 minutes left it was going to be all or nothing even when they drove in inside the 40 yard line.

winners get ball back and have 1st down at the 17 with about 2 minutes left. close game so kick the easy clinching FG? nah, the losing coach burned his timeouts so the QB just turtled up the last 3 plays so 0.5 points short of OVER. announcers even mentioned that the conservative play "disappointed some people in 'the desert.'" hey, me too!

that beat's on me - if I had shopped around a little, likely coulda found 54.5 and glory.

a waste of time, usually, for just one game. but bet 20 over and unders and -well, at some point that little extra effort turns a losing bet into a winner

UPDATE: just noticed my bet was at 55, not 55.5 - must have changed a second before I clicked it. so it's a push, and 2-0-1 with the other OVER plus SF +6 came in.

also, if there is a TD in that MIA-VEG game of 20+ yards or more in 4th quarter, I get a free entry into a 100K DFS contest in Week 17 on DK. might be seeking a little advice next weekend....

The FD Spread the Love play is now Bills +97. I think we have a good shot here!

DKs has a 100% profit boost on any wager on MNF, max $50 bet. I'm thinking Cam u1.5 TD passes might be the best bet, as he hasn't had a single game this season with more than 1 TD pass. It's currently -267, but with the profit boost, a $50 bet would pay out $89.
