    • Jeff Buckley - Hallelujah is listed as the 259 Greatest Songs of All Time by Rolling Stone and hit #1 on the digital top 40, but never hit the billboard top 100.
Gary Jewell - Mad World was a top 10 all across Europe, but nothing in the US.

      • A few more:
        Dishwalla— “Counting Blue Cars”
        Dog’s Eye View- “Everything Falls”

Was Meredith Brooks- “Bitch” included in our initial vote? Probably should have been if it wasn’t.

        • That's because Tears for Fears is the real "Mad World" artist

and not sure the Dishwalla song ranked high enough

I was going to suggest "The Streak" by Ray Steven's but he actually had a huge career

Might have been my #1 choice if in the draft.

"Counting Blue Cars" got up to #15. They're good for discussion, but probably should not have been in the tourney.

"Bitch" was indeed included in our initial list. I gather it got 1 or even zero votes.

              • Huh... I love Give me One Reason, but I never would have thought it peaked higher than Fast Cars for Tracy Chapman.

It certainly feels that way. But I'm distrustful of that feeling and am curious about evidence.

Jeff Buickley's cover is one of my favorite versions, but it has been covered so many times, I am shocked Leonard Cohen's song has never been a billboard top 100. It may be the most covered song ever, and that one from Shrek must have charted.
