First up - Florence, already cat 4, sounds pretty serious for the Carolinas & Virginia ... take care down there ...

It certainly feels that way. But I'm distrustful of that feeling and am curious about evidence.

and the Governor of SC mandates everyone evacuate from certain zones.
It is wrong and ultimately self-defeating for a nation of immigrants to permit the kind of abuse of our immigration laws we have seen in recent years and we must stop it.

having spent time along both coasts this summer, it is going to be brutal in NC & SC.

We're looking at 60mph winds here in Charlotte area on Friday. The biggest issue in my area is going to be power loss. Lots of large trees and power lines.

We had the same issue with ice storms back about 15-16 years ago. Learned quickly that generator with gas is an important thing to have around.

Generators available, but no gas to be found. Passed 5 stations yesterday that were already bone dry

I'm safe though, with this guy on my side

LOL! Seriously, if you have gas in your car you can siphon some of that to run the generator. Looks like you'll get less wind but potentially more rain from the track I saw this morning, so I'm happy and sad for you.
