  • The Queen is in Dublin today

This is a VERY big deal.

Biggest security operation in the history of the state.

If I heard correctly this is the first time that the monarch has been in Ireland - ever??? I know the relationship hasn't been good for centuries, but that's mind-boggling.
It certainly feels that way. But I'm distrustful of that feeling and am curious about evidence.

Keep Frank Drebin away from her.
Bob- I'm not exactly sure it would ROCK as you say it Byron.. it may be cool, by typical text book descriptions. Your opinion of this is shallow and poorly constructed, but allow me to re-craft your initial thought into something tangable.

First time since Ireland has been a sovereign state. The previous monarch to visit was her father, George VI, but he visited while Ireland was still very much ruled directly from London.

Henry II also visited Ireland but that didn't go and well for the Irish as this visit did.
