Longtime ESPN personality John Saunders has died, the network announced. He was 61.
Saunders, a Canadian, joined ABC in the mid-1980s and transitioned to ESPN, where he hosted the Sunday morning roundtable show “The Sports Reporters” following Dick Schaap’s death in 2001.
The cause of Saunders’ death was not immediately known.
