Looks like another d!ck cop to me.
The woman is lucky that she didn't get a ticket. She is not the sheriff of the road. Why on earth would she want to drive slow in the fast lane? Inconsiderate or controlling? Either way she needs to move over.
The officer was doing his job. He also did it with kindness, because he sure could have pulled her over, given her a lecture and a ticket.
Not all cops bad.

If the person was doing the speed limit in the left lane, they weren't doing anything illegal. it's not like this is a 2-lane road where the left-lane is presumed to be the passing lane.
We're they stupidly driving potentially endangering others? Yes, but this cops actions could have created another accident.

Maybe I am more of an aggresive driver. Maybe I am less tolerant than some of you. Maybe I like the police more than some of you (funny how that changed since I stopped drinking). Either way, I enjoyed the video and the way he handled the situation.
Oh, and if a squad car has his lights and siren on, we are supposed to all pull over. So we have to get out of the way. I saw no one swerving or slamming on brakes, or skidding. The whole thing worked out really well. The slow woman got a break. We got something to talk about. Everybody wins.

I'm not a big fan of some police, but I do appreciate the job they're asked to do and how difficult that job is.
I absolutely hate inconsiderate drivers. Sure you can be lawfully abiding by the speed limit, but if you're in the fast lane and there's room to move over to the right and let another driver pass--you should move over. In fact, if more than 5 cars are piled up on your tail, you can be legally ticketed (in CA) for endangering the other motorists. Speed limits are a flexible item, you're to drive a speed that's safe, which can be more or less than the posted speed limit.
It'd just be easier for people to be considerate, if someone wants to pass-- move over and let them pass. To sit in the fast lane saying to yourself "I'm going the legal limit--you go around me!" May be within your rights, but to me-- THAT'S being the d!ck.If I whisper my wicked marching orders into the ether with no regard to where or how they may bear fruit, I am blameless should a broken spirit carry those orders out upon the innocent, for it was not my hand that took the action merely my lips which let slip their darkest wish. ~Daniel Devereaux 2011

I'm curious how the whole thing started. I'm a leadfoot driver and you'd never see me traveling the speed limit in the fast lane...unless I spotted a police car. When I notice a police car, I immediately slow to the speed limit in the hopes that he hasn't clocked me yet. Then I wait for my first safe opportunity to move out of the left lane without speeding. How do we know that isn't what happened here? For the stretch that the cop was tailgating with his lights off (meaning from the very beginning of the video), wasn't the car being tailed making the best possible choice, i.e., remaining at the speed limit and waiting for a clear opening to shift lanes? Because the location of the car in the middle lane didn't really offer him/her an opportunity to get out of the left lane without first either speeding up to pass, and opening himself/herself up to a speeding ticket, or slowing down to merge behind the other car, which could have pissed off the cop or even resulted in an accident given how close he was tailing him/her?

Besides all of us lead foots know you can go 3 miles over the limit without trouble and to get out of the way.
