I received two pounds of green beans I need to roast. I plan to do it on the patio, using a butane hot plate and a stir type popcorn popper. Any tips, tricks or traps to be aware of?

I actually never gave roasting coffee beans a thought. I did grind my own this morning.
I googled how to roast green coffee beans. I thought this https://www.sweetmarias.com/instructions was interesting. While I wouldn't go out of my way to buy green coffee beans I would give it a shot if someone gave them to me.
I will be interested in reading about how it turns out.
