  • "Interesting things" Donald Trump will be revealing about President Obama draft

(CNN) – Possibly-serious Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is giving few details about the investigation he claims to have launched in Hawaii to get to the bottom of where President Obama was born, but the business mogul told CNN Thursday Americans will be "very surprised" by what he has found.
"We're looking into it very, very strongly. At a certain point in time I'll be revealing some interesting things," Trump said on CNN's American Morning.

So, what do we think it'll be?

1.03 Hawaii was never properly admitted into the Union and isn't an actual state.

1.05 The letters in Obama can be rearranged to spell Aboma, which is a large South American serpent. This revelation will prove that Obama isn't American, but rather a Venezuelan spy sent over to infilitrate our government by an evil triumverate of evil lead by Hugo Chavez, Kim Jong Il and Rebecca Black.

It's kinda fun to imagine how so many people's worlds will be completely rocked if he actually has something...

Oh, Trump has something alright. Maybe one of our members who is trained in psychiatry will be able to tell us what it is.

I have to admit, that thought crossed my paranoid mind!

Interestingly enough, there is some legal opinion that it doesn't really matter, even if true:

Most scholars, including me, believe that natural born citizenship extends further, to all of those who obtain citizenship at birth by law. Calvin's Case was about subjectship, duties owed by subjects to a monarch who claimed to rule by the grace of God. U.S. citizenship, by contrast, involves membership in a political community based on democratic principles. Those born overseas are natural born citizens not because of natural law, but because Congress determined that they are naturally part of the political community.

If this argument is right, then even if Obama had been born overseas, he is still a natural born citizen, because he obtained citizenship at birth through his mother who unquestionably was a U.S. citizen.

But I'd really rather not to go there!! My guess is that Trump doesn't have anything more than the warmed-over innuendo that has already proven to be false.

Sounds like he might already be regretting going the birther route...

Repeatedly pressing the issue of President Barack Obama’s birth certificate finally reached a breaking point for Donald Trump Thursday morning, when he snapped at a TV interviewer to stop asking questions about it and focus instead on his stances on OPEC and job creation.

"You have to stop asking me about a birth certificate," Trump said on CNN, after weeks in which his play to the widely discredited “birther” movement has allowed him to dominate media coverage of the presidential race. "You've got to stop asking the questions.

“The problem is every time I go on a show — like as an example, this morning — the first question you asked me is about the birth certificate,” said Trump, who has said on numerous occasions that he’s “proud” to embrace the issue. "I think my strength is jobs, the economy and protecting our nation from OPEC, China and the other countries that are ripping us off.”

I see his point -- I mean, exactly how did that issue even come up, anyway? Oh, wait a minute...

I saw the interview and itwas pretty weird. Ali Velshi kept pushing the issue and after Trump said all that Velshi said basically: "Ok, well I promise that if you say right here and now that President Obama was born in the United States no one on CNN will ask you about it again." Needless to say, the questioning went on
