Was doing some research in the Harvard Law Review when I came across an article on the Presidential eligibility requirement of being a natural born citizen. It was fairly interesting, tracing the common law roots and all. Obviously Cruz is eligible. Most interesting were things I didn't know:
The Senate passed some type of measure unanimously declaring its support for the notion that John McCain was a natural born citizen
Barry Goldwater was not born in the United States. (Arizona was not yet a state when he was born.)
George Romney was born in Mexico.
So far as I could tell, the only Democratic presidential candidate not born in the U.S. was Obama.
