  • No love for Reggie Sanders?

No love for Reggie Sanders? The guy was my fantasy baseball hero for a while.

Reggie Sanders is one of only eight players in Major league Baseball history to hit 300 home runs and steal 300 bases. Name the other seven. Six of them should be easy. Hint: two are still active.

ARod, BBonds x 2, Mays, Beltran...uummmm....time to go cheat.

EDIT: Damn it..well now I know who the hard one is...
Considering his only baseball post in the past year was bringing up a 3 year old thread to taunt Hornsby and he's never contributed a dime to our hatpass, perhaps?

              The Hawk

              Biggio fell just short.

                That makes seven.

                Bobby Bonds
                Barry Bonds
                Willie Mays
                Andre Dawson
                Alex Rodriguez
                Carlos Beltran
                Reggie Sanders

Alfonso Soriano could end up being number nine. He needs 11 more steals.

So did Henderson. I looked up a few guys I was surprised didn't make the list, those two were two I checked out.

Here's some players who had the steals but fell just short in home runs:

                      Rickey Henderson - 297
                      Craig Biggio - 291
                      Bobby Abreu - 288
                      Eric Davis - 282
                      Ryne Sandberg - 282

                        Two more that came close:

Don Baylor ended up with 338 homers and 285 steals.

And Mike Cameron had 278 homers and 297 steals.
