went to my brother's house about 15 minutes away today. about 20 minutes before the 10 of us are getting ready for dinner, what appears outside, standing atop the hill about 10 feet away is the biggest wild..... turkey I've ever seen.

I walked outside to get a photo, and soon saw another one come around the corner. He was moving in my direction like one of those velociraptors from Jurassic Park. I mean, he wasn't charging at me per se, but yeah I backed away, lol.
(My old neighborhood had a pack of 12 of them - not 11, not 13, always 12. Sometimes they would just stand around in the street, blocking traffic. They're either really dumb or really rude.)finished 10th in this 37th yr in 11-team-only NL 5x5

Happy Thanksgiving to all.
My siblings and I always go to my parents today but this year I couldnt make it. That's because I broke my leg (cycling) and cant drive my manual shift car. I can manage to squeeze into my sub-compact (w difficulty) but I cant apply enough pressure w my left leg to depress the clutch to shift. So I'm house-bound for a while.Comment
