I was today year's old when I learned the delinquent girl from the Dr. Phil show a few years ago whose insane antics and severely affected accent led to many memes cashed in on the experience to become a rapper, open an OnlyFans account as soon as she turned 18, and become one of the highest paid internet personalities in the world, surpassing most movie and sports stars, making $50 million on OnlyFans. Dr. Phil is a tool, his show was toxic, and he sent kids to camps that did not help them and potentially hurt them, but I can't help but feel old, out of touch, and just dumbfounded by how someone with so little talent can get so far so fast for no reasons I can discern or comprehend. Not that someone young can't be a prodigy worthy of success. Mary Shelley wrote Frankenstien when she was 20, inventing/redefining two of the most popular literary genres to this day--horror and sci fi novels. But even she did not get the kind of attention and no where near the money that "Bhad Bhabie" has gotten. "Cash me Ousside, how bow dah," indeed. What. A. World.
