the best case scenario for me is i think i've had covid twice. both times i got a runny nose and slight headache and i felt like my respiratory system was acting a little weird. it can also make you crazy. heh. that's a disturbing thought. one of the symptoms of long covid is insanity. also, i think long covid is simply the damage the virus has done. it's not hiding in your body. not that i would compare it to Havana syndrome, which i think doesn't exist. and that's a scary thought, our diplomats and higher officers think they are getting bombarded by cosmic rays. additionally, you know those double blind studies where more ppl in the placebo group quit because they think they are having side effects. i always thought Havana syndrome was the effect casino cigar conventions.
i've only been sick in my life like 2-3 times. mostly. i don't count colds, but i can't remember the last time i got one. the downside to that is i never get to miss a day of school or sick day at work. perfect attendance from 5th grade to 8th. and 10 years at my last job before i took a sick day. i feel like Bruce Willis in unbreakable. never broken a bone, never had a cavity. i know why too. i bet i was a vaginal birth instead of caesarian section. and then i was the dirtiest kid you ever saw. always around pets challenging my immune system. then as i got older i landscaped for a decade, always outside. and even during the last 20 years of changing into being an underground cave dweller, that immunity stayed with me.
the other day i asked my mother, how many times do you remember me being sick? she paused for a second and said never. that was a pretty cool moment.
