What is disheartening is when the helpers get attacked for being helpers, which has happened increasingly on the right since the rise of Trump. We have people threatening to kill Fauci and claiming Bill Gates created COVID. We will have people on the right sneer at Andy Kim for getting down on his knees and cleaning up the Capital, as if his service is a weakness. And those people believe they are the ones with true "American" values. Many of them self-identify as Christians, but worship Trump while he mocks the disabled, degrades women and POC, makes clear he has never read the Bible in his life, but marks himself as "one of them" and marks his betters as Other, inferior, an outsider, those that do not belong. And he gets cheered. And the 2nd most votes of anyone for president in our nation's history. It is deeply disheartening.

Representatives from the FBI, the Department of Defense, DC Police, and Homeland Security have been found to have lied to the public about their knowledge of potential violence at this insurrection. What the hell is going on? I am almost afraid of what this is all going to unearth, assuming adequate investigations ever take place.

The enormous support enjoyed by Donald Trump from his Republican party sycophants and voters is our great national shame, one that will only begin to come to a close after his removal from office, subsequent imprisonment (along with his other criminal enablers), and the complete dismantling of this broken cesspool of a political party. We can certainly expect a huge groundswell of Republicans claiming to have been all along a part of that tiny 6-8% of Republicans who did not support Trump as recently as a couple months ago because so many will finally feel the ignominy of tying their boats to a person and party who never stood for anything decent or good to begin with.

I did post that it would be reckless to declare any specific group to have been there without credible evidence. if all there is to a certain point is an investigation, then say so. if there is credible evidence found that confirms investigations, feel free to say that.
