I gotta say I didn't really follow my governor much before, but he is doing a great job in the circumstances. My understanding of him is everyone has always thought he does his job well, but he has potential baggage, so the rumors say. I always assumed the baggage is why he didn't run. No doubt he is capable of doing the job.

Well as a Sanders guy, the Sanders campaign has been under the impression that the DNC was just trying to get Biden across the finish line by the convention at which time they'd replace him with a candidate of their choosing (not Sanders) Buttigieg had been mentioned, but now the murmur is Cuomo.

I've posted mountains more words in this thread in the last year than any other poster. I don't owe anybody shit, other than an avatar change whenever the corpse of Joe Biden takes the Democratic nomination, but I don't need to post anymore, so I'm not sure what the point of the change would be, but I'll fulfill my side of the bet regardless.

The fact Biden had 6 days of complete radio silence during the crisis before 1 brutal 10 minute web broadcast and 3 more horrible TV interviews, then a canceled appearance last night is all clear evidence that he can't win, so I'm not sure exactly what I've been proven wrong about, other than the stubbornness, gullibility and stupidity of American voters through the early part of primary voting. Some of you guys would rather support Cuomo for president over Sanders... without having vetted him at all, even without allowing the rest of the primaries to play out shows how deservedly fucked your country is. Cuomo restricted hospital beds from 73K down to 50K... now they need 250K.... gee what a fucking presidential leader, with such foresight closing all those hospitals... all because he has press conference swagger? All because he's a fucking Democrat? That's lunacy. Not quite as insane as Trump's pandemic response approval ratings though.

Trump's approval is the highest of his term, and rising, while Biden is in hiding, or he's publicly failing in simple competence. Bush won a 2nd term after 9-11 happened because people want to support the leader in crisis as an act of patriotism. Just like Bush's ignoring the imminent attack warnings, Trump's cutting the pandemic response infrastructure will similarly not hurt him much... its fucking infuriating how stupid people are, but the polls are the polls, as you Biden supporters love to point out. Biden's corpse won't unseat Trump. Even if 1 million people die, (conveniently in all the largely populated Democratic strongholds), he could still leverage his populist appeal, embracing emergency UBI and outflanking Dems on relief aid to easily buy a 2nd term. It's both depressing and infuriating. I will never stop making fun of the Biden die-hards here once he's replaced by his VP on day one, as he suggested in an interview this week himself. Fuuuuuuccccckkkkk.... I just want Biden of 2008, but this trainwreck of today isn't going to get there. Its plain as day, Biden himself knows it and openly muses about it. I've said it a million times, but at a certain point, pissing into the wind loses its appeal. I wasn't surprised nobody here watched the Florida debate 1-on-1 Biden v Sanders. Not 1 comment. Looks like one of his last comments was to me. He made comments about my family the night I rushed my 5 year old daughter into the hospital. And then he left. But continue with the personal attacks, its clearly the right way to go. Maybe you'll get to the point where you get in an insult while someone is dealing with grief too. That's a great idea genius. Yup we all are dealing with this. It's a pandemic. My 75 year old dad is very sick right now and compromised, going in for a colonoscopy sometime soon at his doctor's request to confirm that his cancer has come back. But he wont go because he's afraid of going out in public.

Everyone is dealing with that type thing. It's affecting everyone.

But continue tearing people down. Apparently it's your thing! Go out with a bang like your hero.

Maybe you'll get lucky and get in a deep jab the very night someone has a tragedy in their life like Fresno did. Good luck to you.

won't be arguing about this topic after all of the disgusting commentary from the Kavanaugh thread, but it's important enough I felt the need to share.

Allegations detailing an assault by Joe Biden on one of his staffers from the early 90's support and go further than the allegations of unwanted touching and kissing levied by Lucy Flores, another former staffer, seems like part of a larger pattern of abuse of power.

Listen to the latest accusers story and tell me where she seems discredited. She mentions several people who she told contemporaneously, she mentions filing a grievance. She mentions another staffer who stopped her assault story half way through, brushed it off as one of common knowledge that Biden does this. She has witnesses and evidence. Will it be investigated?

It also gets worse, as this latest victim attempted to tell her story a year ago when the other allegations came to light, but she was finally silenced in January by the Time's Up organization, supposed to support women who were sexually abused, assaulted, harassed... who's leader is a literal campaign strategist for Biden. Now the question is, will the media cover this story? So far, 2 days now, only lefty news has covered it plus 1 article from Yahoo.

Or will the Biden supporters here jump into the Kavanaugh supporter bandwagon and claim she's just looking for money? Or maybe somebody else on Biden's campaign forced his fingers inside of her and she misremembered who it was... yeah, that's the ticket. I have NO problems with Ken, and he's pretty intelligent like everyone else. I have no idea what happened. I really was just living in the woods for the last year. but I know Fresno Bob was my only back up for a few years here. he was like a brother to me I guess and I don't throw shit around like that lightly. I eventually would've met him too if he kept bothering me about it. even when I mentioned a game I played one time and needed help, I saw a character named Fresno Bob with the same avatar, but I didn't reach out and tell him it was me. I saw him, but that's my M.O. I don't want things to be real.

I may talk a good game and tell you I can do it, but I can't. I can get drunk and find my balls one night, but I can't really carry your bucket of water.

I don't really operate like that. I am just glad that TW and GITH were able to show me the way. I play the long game. I thought about what they said for at least 4 years. and I waited to see the evidence for myself. and I came to the conclusion they were right about politics. and I couldn't be more grateful.

I don't know how you guys were able to tolerate me for 18 years. but we all did it together. all I was ever trying to do was find answers for myself. and it takes that long. to be able to bounce your ideas. to have a place to do it. I can think of much worse or no places. I found so many answer for myself here. my life is a lot better for being here. I found confidence in myself. I found strength to believe in myself. and I used that strength I found here to be kind in the real world. I didn't abuse the things I learned here.

I am very fearful of driving members away with my antics. I've accidentally done it in the past probably, not directly or intentional. as I know my bullshit is a lot to handle. but that's the way the world is. I've made my peace.

I will concede Biden is far from an eloquent speaker at this point, but does it matter? Anyone that watched the 2016 debates strictly for policy and content should agree Clinton killed Trump on facts, but it didn't matter. Trump will bluster and attack with no facts and Biden will stumble through facts and policy. I guess what I took from 2016 is people don't seem to care if you say anything factual or substantive. Both candidates probably come in with at least 42% of the vote going there way. So we have about 16% of the vote to play with and really if we assume that those values play out in swing states we are talking about 16%ish of the vote that matters in WI, MI, PA, FL, AZ, NC, Maine, and then maybe MN, NH, GA, and IA. Really those last 4 states probably only swing from their lean if the election is a big win for one candidate so they don't really matter.

Biden will make errors and Trump will lie, but really 16% of the voters in 6 states (Maine has those weird districts) are going to decide this and I don't think they are going to vote based on some of the terrible word salads these two candidates produce. If I was betting today I'd say I expect Biden to win PA and MI, so he has to win one more of those states (WI, AZ, FL, NC) to get to 270 or it also bring in the crazy possibility of Biden winning the single district in NE that 270 to win has a tossup could give us a 269-269 tie.

It will be close is my guess and if Biden wins it will be because he gets WI or AZ, otherwise I think FL and NC will be harder. Biden has more outs if he wins PA and MI, but if he loses one of those it gets really hard. FL is a tough nut to crack for Democrats and I refuse to ever count on it.
