  • Biden's gaffe/memory issue won't be an issue against Trump, as Trump suffers from the same concerns.

i have epiphanies like that all the time. for example i was watching a basketball game today and realized pom poms are like a pair of tits. there's 2 of them. they're round. they shake. women play with them. thus instead of having two, cheerleaders have four boobs.

Haha, yes, that is my measuring stick too. That is why I heckle all my sons' friends. A bunch of 5 and 2 year olds. I can take them all in a fight, maybe at the same time. They can't do crap about my trash talk. I shut up when their parents are around though. Some of them could probably take me.

It won't stop him from pointing them out, but I hope you are right.

Careful with those young kids...those fists are right by the private parts. I'm pretty sure I've taken enough shots to prevent any accidental third child.

Seriously, I really do think my boys do not want any more siblings. They not only attack the vulnerable parts, they laugh at my pain.

I think I understand your perspective on this, and I hope you know that I am not defending the system, rigged as it is, that favors establishment and makes real change very difficult. I'm not. I'm just saying I knew about all that this morning. What I didn't know then was how voters would act, and now I do, and so tonight, that is what I am disappointed in. I am still as disappointed as you at how the system, MSM, and the rest contributed to this outcome, but that was all expected. Despite that, I expected a different outcome. And with Trump's win in 2016, coupled by the tremendous effort put in by Sanders' base to spread the word, and the historically unprecedented and easy access to alternative news and resources of the voting public, yeah, I put some disappointment and blame on them.

Ok, here is mostly what I reacted to "I'm not mad at the establishment doing what we all knew they would always do." What the establishment is doing is working the system to their benefit while labeling people who want to help people as communists and extremists. The Democrats are working to make sure that healthcare is not available to everyone -- or if it is they are making sure that their donors will make a shitload of money off it. So, yes, I am pissed at them. They are such a bunch of self serving assholes. It's a big club, and we ain't in it.

Voters on the right did that with Trump, much to my dismay. You don't think the right tried to stack the deck against Trump? I thought Bernie could beat the house odds too, but he didn't. Maybe it is because he didn't have Trump's celebrity/reality show appeal. Maybe, just maybe, voters on the whole deserve some blame to support Trump and not Bernie in enough numbers. We live in a time when most have access to lots of information to be able to make an informed decision. I think that makes voters more blame worthy in being blindly led by power brokers than in decades past.
Sure, it's up to the voters, but pretending that people with power and money aren't able to influence the info voters receive is not at all accurate.

Well, I didn't mean I am not mad about all that. I meant that tonight my disappointment is focused on the voters who could have voted for real change to all of that. You are right to be mad at all that we knew about yesterday, but I don't get how you are not at all disappointed in the voters who might have voted to change that for tomorrow.

Sure, I'm disappointed in the voters. But most of them aren't trying to make money off others health issues which is a much bigger issue with me. Especially from Democrats who pretend to be above that.

The whole Democratic establishment is labeling Bernie as an extremist and telling us we can't have the same healthcare that every other developed country has. So why would I be mad at the voters and not the party that promotes this BS while profiting from peoples health issues ?

They do, but at the same time, and I'm sure you hoped for this, most voters can access more than what they are spoon fed. We live in an unprecedented age of information access. You find the information, and it doesn't cost you a whole lot to do it. I expected more voters to do that.

The Democratic party has existed for decades and has a lot of power and influence, but yeah, it would be nice if the voters could see thru their BS

Well, my mother is one of those people with health issues. In fact, her health is in pretty bad shape and she won't go to the doctor, partly because of the big hassle it is to do that with her being on disability and having to wait weeks and weeks for an appointment to get a referral to a specialist, who she should be seeing to begin with. And guess what--she is a Trump supporter. So, yeah, I don't want to sound like GITH here when he says "they get what they deserve," but I'm feeling a little bit like that tonight. Sometimes I guess people want things and vote for things that I don't understand.

Bah, I need to get off this. I have the benefit that others don't of still believing there can be positive change with a Biden presidency over what we have now. Not the extent to which I hoped, but I need to get ramped up for what we got going. It is still worth fighting to replace Trump with a much better alternative.
I'll let it go too. Have a good one !
