    wasn't there a deadline for Trump to propose some evidence that Obama wiretapped him
    wasn't there a timeframe about Sessions report/letter

    I know that these things seem like weeks ago but almost nothing ever gets any closure and this has been consistent even during the election

    when, when, when is there going to be accountability?

      (CNN)The White House on Monday walked back a key point of President Donald Trump's unsubstantiated allegation that President Barack Obama wiretapped his phones in Trump Tower during the 2016 election.

      Namely, White House press secretary Sean Spicer said Trump wasn't referring to wiretapping when he tweeted about wiretapping.
      "I think there's no question that the Obama administration, that there were actions about surveillance and other activities that occurred in the 2016 election," Spicer said. "The President used the word wiretaps in quotes to mean, broadly, surveillance and other activities."

      Wiretapping is a narrowly defined surveillance activity that involves tapping into "a telephone or telegram wire in order to get information," according to Merriam-Webster dictionary.

      Spicer also said that Trump was referring to the Obama administration broadly -- and not accusing Obama of personal involvement -- when he tweeted that "Obama had my 'wires tapped' in Trump Tower" and accused Obama of being a "bad" or "sick guy."
      And, I shit you not, Kellyanne Conway thinks that Microwave ovens are watching you...

      "What I can say is there are many ways to surveil each other," Conway said, before suggesting that surveillance could take place through phones, TVs or "microwaves that turn into cameras."

              Not as much as I remember 'LOCK HER UP' for using an unsecured email server.

                    LMAO, in an administration of misdirection releasing ONE return over 10 years old which shows he did his duty is nothing more than a "see I told ya"for his base. Where do you think this came from? If it was an anti Trump guy, they'd never have released it unless it was damaging. NO this is Trump and his guys leaking something which quiets the roar for more and allows his base to feel good about something.

                        I agree with your premise. I just think it was hysterical to see
                        Maddow breathlessly hyping her exclusive release of a Trump tax return that did absolutely nothing to advance her narrative. She got played.
                        I'm sure other returns will leak out and what they reveal will be endlessly discussed.

                          I'm sure it was hysterical. I've never been a fan because generally she seems like a left-wing version of Fox news. I've heard her ratings have skyrocketed since the election, but I've tried watching her a few times and haven't made it through one of her shows yet.

                            I used to watch her a lot when Bush was President, even before she had her own show. She was very good at holding that Administration accountable. Smart, tough with very persuasive arguments. I stopped watching her during Obama's first term--she just wasn't as good dissecting that Administration and holding them accountable. It devolved into bashing the GOP over petty issues. I have heard her ratings are way up.

                                You would think her producer or someone at the network would have tamped the hype down as soon as they saw how favorable the return was to Trump. Or at least openly questioned why they were receiving a partial document annomously that helps him. Be interesting to see how she spins it tonight.
