some clever meme's coming out ...

It certainly feels that way. But I'm distrustful of that feeling and am curious about evidence.

Which country will vote next on leaving the EU?

The important part is that they improve. As in many things in life, sometimes you have to take some steps back to move forward.
If you take five steps back and then take two forward, I guess you can be an optimist and rejoice in the two steps forward, but it still doesn't make the five steps back a good decision.

Here's an interesting breakdown of how the UK voted ...

needless to say, today young brits are pretty upset.
The older voters have been repeatedly lied to and misled by the corruptocrats in the EU. At some point, trial and error produces what we witnessed last night. The younger demographic has a lesser reservoir of experiences to draw from and in turn falls for the Madison Ave generated propaganda that is predicated on maintaining the status quo. All in all, it was a good day with the multinational cabal and global finance cretins getting kicked in the teeth. Perhaps, humanity is finally waking up to the technocratic plantation system that is cleverly being erected around them?

              Yes, all snake oil salesman.

One doesn’t have to be an expert on European politics to instinctively understand that if the governments, the central banks and all their connected crony capitalists are howling there will be Armageddon if you do X, it is virtually always in your best interest to do X.

that's one possible explanation; here's another perspective from a brit ex-pat living & working in Italy ...

A quick note on the first three tragedies. Firstly, it was the working classes who voted for us to leave because they were economically disregarded, and it is they who will suffer the most in the short term. They have merely swapped one distant and unreachable elite for another.

Secondly, the younger generation has lost the right to live and work in 27 other countries. We will never know the full extent of the lost opportunities, friendships, marriages and experiences we will be denied. Freedom of movement was taken away by our parents, uncles, and grandparents in a parting blow to a generation that was already drowning in the debts of our predecessors.

Thirdly and perhaps most significantly, we now live in a post-factual democracy. When the facts met the myths they were as useless as bullets bouncing off the bodies of aliens in a HG Wells novel. When Michael Gove said, ‘The British people are sick of experts,’ he was right. But can anybody tell me the last time a prevailing culture of anti-intellectualism has led to anything other than bigotry?

Hardly. The pound weakening will likely help Britain; it's been considered over-valued for years.

And dumping Northern Ireland and Scotland? An even greater benefit. I don't have exact numbers on Northern Ireland, but in the Scottish independence vote, it was clearly shown that Scotland sucks up about 25% more income (53 bn in taxes, 65.2 bn in income) from the Exchequer than it contributes. I've read the Northern Irish difference is even greater, but don't have exact figures.

At the 34 second mark, an exasperated Chris Cuomo says that Trump "hasn't even mentioned Brexit yet after being up at the podium for over 5 minutes, only talking about his golf course and his other business ventures."

An incredulous John Avlon remarks "this is insane. The presumptive Republican nominee has the world watching, and he's giving a hard-sell on his golf course." David Gregory is shown shaking his head.
It is BS. I even attached his statements, which were issued to the press by his campaign, in my post. And I'll note his campaign commented many hours before the Clinton campaign did. The fact that he didn't feel the need to comment further is not evidence that he and his campaign didn't issue a statement.

The fact that Chris Cuomo didn't bother to check and see if his campaign did issue a statement doesn't mean a whole lot. The only reason that clown has a job is because of his daddy.

This was a bad or worse vote, so there was zero momentum behind the Remain campaign, and enormous amounts of complacency (this referendum should never have happened). That combined with the huge misjudgment on the part of the media of the true nature of "white Britain" ... under-educated and insular, mentally challenged with with delusions of grandeur because they are "British" / "English", small-minded, very very stupid, racist, hugely xenophobic.

Political correctness has disguised this true nature of white Britain. This was the first chance in living memory that they have had their chance to show their true self. In the 1970's and 80's there were shows like "Love Thy Neighbour" and "Til Death Do Us Part" which kept this very visible.

These people decided our future ... not joking or jesting:

The fact that this was allowed to happen was a travesty.

But hey ... it's democracy in action ... which is apparently something we should be happy about. Let the most mentally challenged people in the country free to make the biggest decision in the country's history. Sounds legit.

All or nothing referendums are total and utter bullshit. That such a massive decision can be made by such a narrow margin is scandalous ... not to mention the brazen lies and manipulations that dominated the campaign. Most of the tards voting Leave did not have a clue what they were voting for.

... then again, the EU has become monstrous. It is completely undemocratic and unaccountable. It's ruled by the banks and finance in the interests of the banks and finance. This has spread massive national disunity across Europe. The EU's immigration policy is a joke. It required an intelligent debate. This was the opposite of intelligent.

It seems that no one was surprised at the outcome. Wasn't the turnout pretty heavy?

Maybe this is why our Senate has a 60% threshold for moving bills forward.
