will say this about the Nets, no one wants to play them. Except FG%, across the board, they are tough on the stat line.

          The Bulls like playing them.

Nets just blew a 14 point lead with 4 minutes to go and are now on the brink of elimination.

Nate Robinson scored 5 pts in the 1st three qtrs - and 23 in the 4th (Bulls record is 24 by - well, you know this one).
Bulls down 109-95 with 3 minutes left, then Nate scored the game's next 12 pts, wow.

as epic a choke as a team can ever have, and this after a Chicago writer - Joe Cowley - told Nets announcer on-air in the pre-game (or was it halftime?) that the Bulls think the Nets are "gutless."

all that said, Nets are down 3-1 with 2 home games left (maybe), and won in a blowout in Game 1 and obviously had to shiat the bed not to get this road win. in theory, they can still pull it out.

I don't quite see that - Deron Williams huffs and puffs, but I don't see the sheer force of will he'd need to impose to get these guys to believe. same for PJ Carlesimo - his next game could be the last of his not that memorable NBA coaching career.

but the series W-L of teams down 3-1 is mostly loaded with weaker teams who didn't have home court. not the case here.

also interesting vibe: what will the first-year Brooklyn crowd bring to start Game 5 Monday? seems like a fragile team, and not sure the NYC crowd is going to be all puppy dogs and flowers for their ballclub. but we have no track record here...

That was brutal. Just brutal. That win would have knotted the series and seized back home court advantage. Now they need a minor miracle.
