And on cue the Blake Bortles era begins in Jacksonville. It had to happen, the Jags have looked like a Pee Wee team ever since halftime against Philly.

Orakpo, Hall, Kearse all knocked out of WASH game in about 4 plays. implosion with dumb penalties intermixed, but they held Eagles to a FG

27-20 Eagles and seems as much of a blowout as it did the other way during the first half....

Raiders fought well today, game-tying late TD called back for holding, then pass bounces off OAK WR and off a Pats helmet and into Wilfork's arms to clinch it.

Redskins spit the bit on a go-ahead FG, get an INT, then a brawl breaks out in a chippy game. Foles banged up on INT that is reversed, Peters ejected, Eagles out of extra OLs, more penalties on WASH... chaos

Browns going all-out to lose this one. And they do! 40+ years of having no clue about clock management or playcalling.

first time I've seen Red Zone shit the bed with a bunch of late-finishing games. The garbage-time TD videos for fantasy players are annoying but ok if they don't get in the way of real action. But worse than that was just showing kneel-downs and other inanities. not sure what happened to them.

wow, a 3-pt NFC East game, PHI-WAS, and Red Zone is showing as many plays of the DEN-SEA 1st qtr airing in about 90 pct of the country. makes the channel hardly worth buying.

Redskins showed more mental toughness late than I expected, but they still can't execute in big spots like the Eagles can - and that was the difference. You have 2 1/2 minutes left and 1st down on the other team's 40, and you can't even gain a yard - that's pitiful.

Redskins 511 yards of offense before that, too. Eagles 379 in a prize fight.

Eagles not a 3-0 great team, but they are 3-0 and they are tough.

And Bortles named the starter for the rest of the season. And for those of you scoring at home, this is what the Jaguars said as late as August 4th:
"After attending Jaguars camp, ESPN's Adam Caplan reported on NFL Insiders Monday that the team is "gonna stick to their game plan" and keep Blake Bortles on the bench all season."

I wonder if the hit on Foles by Baker will have any additional penalties.

Anyway, I kind of expect an Eagles loss next week against SF. But I do expect that they will soon start playing like the team I think they are.... a solid 11 - 5 team by season's end. Foles looked like he was coming around this week..... I just hope he recovers from all of the huge hits he took.

Fitzgerald is looking like a wasted fantasy pick this season. He's been on my bench since he burned me in week one and i may end up dropping him if he remains irrelevant.

SF looks to be in decline. It will be a tough task to win on the road there, but it's certainly doable, especially if Kelce plays.

among skill position players, Le'Veon Bell looks to have improved the most. He's a beast!

Dennis Pitta fractured hip, so you could write him off for the year
Matt Cassel: broken foot, so his Viking career is done
Danny Woodhead already had surgery, so he's done for the year
Rod Streater broke his foot, so you can send him on his way
